Bold 180 (“we,” “us”) runs bold180youths.org. We know parents trust us with personal information, and we take that seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
Waitlist sign-ups: your name, email address, and anything you choose to tell us about what you’d like help with.
Parent to Parent stories: your name, email address, and the story or tip you send us.
Contact form messages: your name, email address, subject, and message.
Basic website data: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to keep the site secure and working.
What we don’t collect
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Bold 180 is designed for parents and adults. Please do not include your child’s name, school, photos, or other identifying details in anything you send us.
How we use your information
- To add you to our waitlist and email you when Ask Bold 180 and parent accounts are available.
- To review and, with your permission, publish your story using only your first name or “A parent.”
- To reply to your messages.
- To keep our website safe and working properly.
What we never do
We never sell your personal information. We never share it with advertisers. We only share it with service providers who help us run the website (such as our web host and email provider), and only as needed to provide those services.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and contact information until you ask us to remove it, or until it’s no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you, or to take you off our email list, by emailing admin@bold180youths.org. Every email we send will tell you how to unsubscribe.
About Ask Bold 180 (coming soon)
Ask Bold 180 is still in development. Before it launches, we will update this policy to explain clearly how parent conversations with the assistant are stored, protected, and deleted, and you will be able to review those terms before creating an account. Teens will not use Ask Bold 180; it is for parents only.
Safety
If something you share suggests that a child may be in immediate danger, please call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988. Our forms are not monitored around the clock and are not an emergency service.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be shared with people on our waitlist.
